GSM: The 20th Anniversary
September 7th 1987 was the day when GMS network was born.
That day 15 phone companies agreed to build mobile networks based on the Global System for Mobile Communications. Once a privilege, today cell phone is a very usual thing or rather a necessity which is available for everyone. There are more than 2.5 billion GSM subscribers worldwide that send more that 7 billion text messages everyday.
After 20 years the progress in this sphere is obvious.
